Stronger, together.
Our strong sense of community defines Alaskans, and it sets us apart from our friends in the Lower 48. We wear this badge with pride and also out of necessity. Whether you live in a small village off the road system or in one of our larger urban communities, we’re stronger when we’re working with our neighbors. Sound old fashioned? Don’t be fooled. Modern challenges make it more important than ever to invest in our communities. Rising crime rates, crumbling infrastructure, overburdened schools, declining access to affordable healthcare, and a growing distrust between neighbors are all indicators that we need to take action to protect our cultures, communities and way of life.

Let's Use Our Voices
Though Alaskans are often credited for our grit and resilience, we are also known for our creativity and innovation. We are a solutions-based community because we have to be. Our landscape, the natural elements in it, wouldn’t allow for anything else. So let’s do what we’re made to do. Let’s find solutions. Let’s get creative, use our voices and invest in Alaska. Let’s get more Alaskans involved in decision-making, improve safety and transportation, focus on evidence and research-based policies, and support the culture and sovereignty of indigenous Alaskans.
